About

I used to really like reading TechCrunch.com. It used to be a site where one could get their daily fix of news and information about the tech startup industry. Articles used to range from reviews of newly formed companies to discussions about Silicon Valley, VCs, and other information that was valuable to tech readers across the world.

But lately, the quality of reporting on the site has deteriorated. Many of the authors are nothing more than fanboys for companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, and Twitter. Many of the authors are vindictive and write stories for the sole purpose of driving traffic to the site. Michael Arrington, who founded the site, has had a change of heart ever since he was spat on in Europe about six months ago and is really only soliciting stories that are controversial and will fuel comments which will lead to ad revenues for his company. The past 6 months have seen stories that were deliberate in their purpose. From writing on the state of VC in Israel (and thereby generating hundreds of comments about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict) to writing about Pepsi’s delivery of water to his home to releasing confidential emails, twitter messages, and instant messages that are not intended to be public, Arrington and many of the authors on the site are disiminating incorrect information.

The purpose of this site is to counter the articles that are without any merit.

If you are interested in writing for this site, please send me an email with your intentions and reasons and I will determine whether or not to accept you as an author.
