Its funny how a site that relies on their reader base is also trying to censor their readers.

Case in point. This evening, MG Siegler posted a followup article to his article from yesterday about Microsoft’s meal donation plan that is tied to the downloads of IE. The articles are full of hatred and vindictiveness towards Microsoft. This is just plain bad reporting, writing, or whatever you want to call that garbage.

I decided to post a comment in which I countered MG’s points and called him evil, stupid, and vindictive. Those comments came off the site about 2 minutes after they were posted. I re-posted, and they disappeared. From that point on, every comment was automatically deleted if it came from my email address and some that sounded like they were written by me as well. The fact that TechCrunch censors comments is one thing, but their refusal to admit or respond back is another. This was my last post which was an invitation for them to prove that they know what they are talking about:

Since you keep on deleting my comments which are directed at MG, lets see if this one will come through and if an answer will be posted by any of the TechCrunch authors or management:

Quntify for me, if you will, the amount of donations that was donated by the following companies in the period between 2006 and 2008:

Apple, Facebook, Google, Twitter, and of course TechCrunch (that one is just for fun – you are nowhere their size and I don’t expect much anyways).

Lets play in an even playing field and see how the other companies compared. Now don’t go comparing apples and oranges! Compare corporate donations and not a corporate donation to a personal donation which is what you are doing in this article!

Just to give you some data so that you can use real data in your articles, Barrons 25 Most Philanthropic Companies list of 2007 showed that
Microsoft had made cash Donations in the amount of $61 Million and goods Donations worth $272 Million. All together, in one year, over $300 million dollars. Apple and Google were not even on the list.

Print that!

That too got deleted. My replies to other comments were deleted as well. Its funny how the concept of responsible journalism is not as important as Facebook’s offices.
